Neck Laxity
What is it and what is the cause?
The neck has thinner skin than other areas of the body and also exposed more and so is susceptible to sun damage. This breaks down the collagen and elastin in the skin, which causes loose, saggy skin on the neck.
A treatment which restores collagen, thickens the skin and improves skin quality is what is required here. The ProDerma is a skin rejuvenating treatment that creates micro wounds in the skin to encourage the renewal of skin cells and the production of collagen and elastin in the skin. This treatment is also combined with radio frequency.
Radio frequency works in a very similar way but more superficially in the skin to help thicken and tighten the skin. A good quality neck cream works on improving skin quality and feeding the skin to help encourage the collagen growth brought on by HIFU or RF and help uneven skin tone.
Treatments
Polynucleotides
The Polynucleotides process encompasses the introduction of polynucleotides derived from fish cells into the skin using a micro-injection technique. This precision method ensures the direct delivery of polynucleotides to the skin's deeper layers, where their effectiveness is maximised.
The procedure takes approximately 30 minutes to complete, with the duration varying based on the areas treated which can include full face, neck, décolletage and under eyes . Following the treatment, patients may experience mild side effects, including redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection sites. These side effects generally resolve within a few days.
Results from the treatment become noticeable within a few weeks and can endure for up to 12 months, based on individual factors such as skin type and age.
Radiofrequency Skin Tightening
Radiofrequency Skin tightening, also known as RF, is a highly sought-after procedure for individuals seeking a more youthful appearance without the need for surgical intervention. Environmental factors, such as sun exposure, can hasten the ageing process, resulting in loose, sagging skin that can make you appear older than your actual age. Additionally, the natural loss of volume in the cheeks due to the ageing process or weight loss can exacerbate this issue, akin to deflating a balloon. RF uses heat to stimulate the production of elastin and collagen promoting a tighter, glowing profile.
A radiofrequency (RF) facial is the perfect choice prior to any special event. For the ultimate radiant glow, consider incorporating a Dermalux treatment as an add-on.
ProDerma
As we age, skin laxity starts to let us down. This can cause lines, wrinkles, skin sagging and the appearance of jowls in the lower region of the face. Here at Sandon, we have the ProDerma, which is the newest technology to remould the skin to treat concerns such as lines, wrinkles, sagging skin, acne scars and stretch marks. ProDerma uses micro-needling and radiofrequency technologies to stimulate collagen and elastin for a youthful and refreshed result.
