Tired Eyes and Dark Circles
What is it and what is the cause?
There are lots of reasons eyes can look tired…dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles and hollowing under the eye. The skin is much thinner around the eyes and as we age the eye socket bones become enlarged so our eyes “sink in” to the sockets a little more.
Fine lines and wrinkles can be tackled by either Botox or skin treatments such as peels that remove damaged, fine wrinkled skin or radio frequency or HIFU skin tightening, treatments which use heat to build up collagen and thicken in the skin. If hollows or eye bags are your concern then dermal fillers can be very effective to instantly plump out the hollows that create shadows under the eye making you look tired or balance puffiness. Consultations are free of charge to see which treatment would be most suitable to address your concerns.
Treatments
Polynucleotides
The Polynucleotides process encompasses the introduction of polynucleotides derived from fish cells into the skin using a micro-injection technique. This precision method ensures the direct delivery of polynucleotides to the skin's deeper layers, where their effectiveness is maximised.
The procedure takes approximately 30 minutes to complete, with the duration varying based on the areas treated which can include full face, neck, décolletage and under eyes . Following the treatment, patients may experience mild side effects, including redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection sites. These side effects generally resolve within a few days.
Results from the treatment become noticeable within a few weeks and can endure for up to 12 months, based on individual factors such as skin type and age.
Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are virtually identical to the HA (hyaluronic acid) we have in our skin so the risk of any reaction is very small. This procedure helps to instantly ‘fill out’ and smooth away lines such as nose to mouth and ‘droopy’ mouth corners. Dermal fillers are also very effective for instantly increasing fullness and plumpness to thin lips, enhancing sunken cheeks, temples and can even be used to re-shape the nose.
Results last between 6 and 18 months depending on the area being treated. Areas that require thicker product to promote lift ie: cheeks will generally last longer than a softer product used in areas such as the lips.
HydraFacial
The HydraFacial treatment utilises super-serums containing antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid. These formulations work to enhance skin hydration while safeguarding it from the effects of environmental factors. The result is your skin will be refreshed, and rejuvenated. This treatment is suitable for individuals of all age groups and delivers visible improvements from the very first session. The Hydrafacial provides ongoing enhancements and encourages collagen production over time.
